Description
Boba Fett Amplifier is our take on a discontinued Boss™ FA-1 FET Amplified in a pedal format. The pedal could be used as a preamp/boost to drive your amp or as a standalone overdrive in the additional mode I added. Overdrive mode enables asymmetrical soft clipping (Tube Screamer style) with 3 LEDs.
Controls
- Level - the level of boost or drive depending on mode selected.
- Bass - active low frequencies control that could boost or roll-off bass.
- Treble - active high frequencies control that could increase or roll-off treble.
- Tight switch - enables 6 dB/octave low frequencies cut before boost.
- Mode switch - allows switching between standard FA-1 boost or asymmetrical LED soft clipping drive.
- LED brightness trimmer - placed on the PCB trimmer allows you to adjust the status LED brightness.
Power supply
9V DC adapter (Boss-style negative center) not included. No batteries. They are bad for the environment 🌲.
