Description
Poltava DOA Muff is our take on Op-amp Big Muff circuit; it has a unique texture of fuzz/distortion due to the usage of discrete op-amp (DOA) for the gain stage, and different clipping arrangements. However, it's not just a clone but an improved version with true bypass, Big Muff or Filter EQ, and an input impedance switch.
Controls
- Sustain - the amount of gain.
- Volume - output level.
- EQ - depending on EQ toggle position controls the balance between high and low frequencies or hi frequencies only.
- Impedance toggle - "Classic" - ~56k ohm input impedance similar to EHX Op-amp Big Muff, "Custom" - ~1M ohm, high impedance.
- EQ toggle - switches between classic Big Muff tone stack or Rat-ish lowpass filter (doesn't scoop the mids).
- LED brightness trimmer - placed on the PCB trimmer allows you to adjust the status LED brightness.
Power supply
9V DC adapter (Boss-style negative center) not included. No batteries. They are bad for the environment 🌲.
