Description
The Drunk Beaver LA Metal delivers the iconic distortion of the Ibanez LM7 L.A. Metal with a modern twist. We've replaced the original JRC5534 op-amp with a specially fine-tuned FET discrete op-amp for enhanced clarity and articulation. A Stock/Custom toggle switch allows you to choose between the classic "no diodes" clipping of the original LM7 or the unique character of NOS Soviet LEDs, adding a new dimension of sonic versatility. Whether chasing doom tones or forging your path, the LA Metal will unleash your inner shredder.
Controls
- Distortion - the amount of gain.
- Tone - wide-range (230Hz - 10kHz) lowpass filter.
- Volume - output level.
- Mode toggle - switches between stock LM7 "no diodes" and LEDs clipping.
- LED brightness trimmer - placed on the PCB trimmer allows you to adjust the status LED brightness.
Power supply
9V DC adapter (Boss-style negative center) not included. No batteries. They are bad for the environment 🌲.
