Description
Kropyvnytskyi OverDrive is our take on the vintage Exar OD-02 OverDrive circuit - a discrete op-amp (FET and BJT transistors, no IC) with asymmetrical clipping. However, it's not just a clone, but an improved version using NOS (new old stock) and high-quality components with two additional clipping options and Fat mode.
Controls
- Drive - the amount of gain.
- Tone - controls treble frequency response.
- Level - effect output volume.
- EQ switch - gain stage filtering: Stock (similar to TS) and Fat (more low-end).
- Clipping switch - clipping diodes modes: Stock (3 x 1N4148 Si diodes), LED (2 x red LEDs), and Lift (no diodes, raw discrete op-amp clipping).
- LED brightness trimmer - placed on the PCB trimmer allows you to adjust the status LED brightness.
Power supply
9V DC adapter (Boss-style negative center) not included. No batteries. They are bad for the environment 🌲.
