Kostiantynivka Dominator Preamp captures the raw, unmistakable character of the vintage Watkins Dominator vibrato channel in a pedalboard-friendly format. At the heart of this rare Pedal Drop design is a NOS Soviet 6N17B-V subminiature dual-triode tube running at a massive 190V internal rail for authentic high-voltage valve response. Staying true to the quirky, brilliant topology of the original British amp, one triode serves as the main gain stage while the second acts as an LFO oscillator. Because the circuit generates its lush tube tremolo (historically labeled "vibrato" on vintage amps) by directly modulating both the gain stage's high-tension (HT) supply and bias, the modulation naturally pushes the signal into a chewy, harmonically rich overdrive as the wave peaks. Featuring the classic amp-style Volume and Tone controls, Speed and Intensity knobs to dial in the throb, and a High/Low (0dB/-6dB) input toggle to tame hot pickups or clean up your signal, this preamp delivers pure vintage British grit and hypnotic pulse.

Power Supply: 9V DC adapter (Boss-style negative center) not included. 350mA minimum. No batteries. They are bad for the environment 🌲 and won't last long in this circuit.

Don't try to power the pedal with voltages higher than 9V - this will damage the electronics. The pedal uses a voltage boost circuit to provide high-voltage power for the tube. Don't open the pedal when powered; there are 200+ voltages running inside ⚡️⚡️.
